The "style sheet switcher" is the name Jeffrey Zeldman gave to a set of javascript functions that we wrote and provided along with our article Alternative Style: Working With Alternate Style Sheets. Nothing more, nothing less.
As much as we'd love to, unfortunately we are unable to provide support on an individual basis for the style sheet switching javascript snippet we provided, so please, don't send us email asking.
A List Apart did provide a discussion forum for queries about the article, but due to nondescript circumstances beyond our (and their) control, these are no longer available.
While fully functioning javascript was provided, ready to be inserted into a Web page, the idea was really only to provide a set of library functions which could be used to provide extended functionality. The accompanying event driven functions are quite flakey and far from ideal, although that is not to say they don't work.
On this note, we're unable to assist with making a functioning piece of javascript for your site for free, there just aren't enough hours in the day.
